Summary: Sometime in 2015 the Left caught fire. This fire still burns hot, with a flame pleasing to the Right. It shows that the Left is lost in their delusions, and will offer only loud but ineffective resistance to Trump.
Good liberals look at the American people and see themselves (i.e., the good and the wise). They see the loyal minorities. They see the deplorables. It’s a political vision incompatible with winning.

Many good Leftists explain the election results as a result of American’s racism. They have their own values, which they wish to impose on America.

How many immigrants would the US have with open borders? Could we culturally or economically absorb them without massive damage? No problem! Being a leftist means never having to say you’re sorry.

That’s an interesting perspective on Trump’s campaign. Unfortunately that post doesn’t show the factual basis for its conclusions. That’s sad, otherwise one might suspect Shakezula of fantasizing foes. “Portlandia” is a TV show by good liberals providing a look at the Left’s vision of America. No advertisements of Trump so clearly warn America about the Left. Watch this short through to the end. The second skit shows gender relations in the New America. Note the genders of the actors. It makes little difference in HRC’s America.

I appreciate your mention of culture WRT immigration because that aspect is frequently lost and very important. Cultures clash, even more so than races. Our nation has seen waves of immigration from different lands that created a lot of friction even when they were waves of white Europeans (Italians, Irish, etc.) because they came too fast to allow assimilation. Over time, of course, they just become us.
I grew up in Franklin, TN, a small town, at a time when the South still had a cultural identity of its own. Of course, that culture had positives and negatives, but that is beside my point. In the early 80s, GM built a new auto plant just South of us and we saw waves of Michiganders flood in during a very short time and suddenly we were living alongside a different culture. They talked faster, were more direct, and they brought their union politics with them. Frankly, they were ugly to us at that time. Now, no violent clashes resulted and they very quickly became us, so there’s no climax to this little story. It’s just a very mild example of how groups of people can clash over culture even without racial and religious differences.
Regulating immigration is a very important topic to me for economic and cultural reasons. I believe very strongly that the United States was built on immigration; it’s made us the great country we are and we must never close ourselves off. But it must be regulated so that it is balanced (accepting people from all regions) and measured.

A meta look at our political problems is that we have two incommensurate ecologies that each believes that it should dominate the other. And the two are symbiotic. Each needs the other. Cities provide concentration points. Country provides food, water, and migrants – because city birthrates are lower than country. And that has to do with density.
We can all get along – if we can figure out how to leave each other alone.

To say city vs. country is a major divide in the US disregard basic facts. Left and Right are roughtly equivalent factions in the US (depending on one’s definition). Rural people are tiny minority, a factor smaller than race or ethnicity. From the 2010 US Census:
None the less that is how the culture divides. Look at the original paper linked at “A Thermodynamic Explanation of Politics”. It covers the details. Looked like a good fit to me. It also matches a lot of the political maps I’m seeing. Hillary won the cities and not much else.

Most of America lives in cities. People vote in America, not land. Do you believe Alaska should have a 17% weight in the Electoral College?
That you believe your group should wield political power disproportionate to their numbers is evidence that much of the accusations about the Right being undemocratic are correct.
It is even in popular culture “Green Acres” and “The Beverly Hillbillies”. And if you read the paper I suggested (it is roughly a 5 pager) you will see the cultural values (roughly) of the left and the right in there. Trump is a Texan from New York. He may be able to unite the two cultures some. Read the paper.

I believe people should wield power according to their culture. That was the original idea of States in the United States. That was the purpose for the way State votes are apportioned. Rural states got relatively more power. The people who designed the system got it without having a name for it. Population shouldn’t be strictly determining.
Anyway. Read the paper.
And that brings up another point. I believe we can get US birthrates up if we can get people to spread out.
