About the movie “Fight Club”

The most interesting comment thread I’ve seen in a long time:  Matthew Yglesias’ post about the movie Fight Club, at ThinkProgress.  What does it mean?  Why do people like it?  It’s about feminism and masculinity in our culture, and a dozen other things.

Fascinating comments, a discussion better than the post (as usual at Yglesias’ website).  I have not seen the movie, nor is it relevant (I think) to the FM website.  I recommend that you take a look.

It does raise a relevant point:  how did Yglesias develop such a great comment section?  Active, diverse outlooks, a high proportion of informed comments, and unmoderated — yet with mostly civil, brief comments.
